MARY'S CRADLE
A NutraHealth Society
Program

NutraHealth Society (Canada) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to advancing maternal and child health through science-based nutrition programs, community partnerships, and sustainable, locally led solutions in underserved communities.

Mary’s Cradle is a maternal and child nutrition initiative of NutraHealth Society (Canada), focused on improving health and nutrition outcomes for women and children in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA).
The initiative follows a multi-stakeholder, community-led model, bringing together international development partners, academic institutions, community organizations, and local governments to deliver science-based nutrition and education programs adapted to local contexts.
Mary’s Cradle was developed with technical and advisory support from FCA Global Growth Ltd., which contributed expertise in program design, nutrition strategy, supply-chain planning, and evidence-informed implementation, supporting practical and sustainable delivery.
The initiative is currently in the development and fundraising phase, with implementation readiness demonstrated through completed pilot sensory and compliance testing exceeding WHO reference thresholds. The program is supported by engagement with local non-profit organizations and academic institutions, and by a global food manufacturing partner that is WFP-accredited and has expressed willingness to collaborate, subject to finalized agreements.

A Philippines where every mother and child can flourish — grounded in better nutrition, improved maternal health literacy, strengthened community support, and locally led pathways to well-being and resilience.

Our Mission
Our mission is to explore and develop evidence-informed programs that support the health and resilience of women and children. Working with local and international partners, we aim to design a 2–3-year model that integrates compassion, community leadership, and science-informed approaches.
Our Working Model
Mary’s Cradle follows a locally inspired, globally supported framework built around five guiding pillars:
1. Global Development Collaboration
We seek to engage international development and faith-based partners to support future pilot programs and potential scale-up pathways.
2. Community-Led Engagement
Local organizations are envisioned to lead outreach, women’s leadership activities, and family engagement — grounded in shared values and community strengths.
3. Science-Informed Solutions
All planned nutrition interventions align with WHO guidance and national standards. Product development and validation will follow appropriate research and regulatory processes.
4. Academic Participation
Universities and learning institutions may support research, training, and capacity building as partnerships develop.
5. Family-Centered Approach
Every activity is designed to support both mothers and children, recognizing families as the foundation of lasting change.

• Maternal Health and Nutrition — exploring fortified food concepts and practical nutrition education designed to support women’s health in underserved communities.
• Child Growth and Development — developing science-informed interventions that aim to address the factors contributing to stunting and early childhood undernutrition.
• Community Empowerment — promoting women-led participation, training, and local capacity-building to strengthen family and community well-being.
Mary’s Cradle stands for compassion in action — a bridge between science, community, and sustainability.
